She believes in empowering individuals placed in her path to ignite their self-determination and to create and accomplish goals toward their success. As an inaugural Youth Grantmaker in 2022, she beamed with excitement at the opportunity to join the Baltimore’s Promise Community Advisory Board.

Charity studies Social Work at the illustrious Clark Atlanta University. She has also served with organizations like HeartSmiles MD and Women Leading Baltimore as a peer mentor for youth in Baltimore City. In 2022, she founded Homegrown the Collective, offering brave spaces for Black youth aged 14-23 from underserved neighborhoods in Baltimore City to participate in healing-centered community circles, providing free opulent healing experiences.

Charity looks forward to creating opportunities that center the collective health of Baltimore City community members of all ages and walks of life.
