About Montaze Cooper Day

Join us for Montaze Cooper Day, a community celebration and wellness fair created by and for Baltimore youth. Especially designed for youth ages 14–24, this free event features music, live performances, food, workshops, resources, and more—all in a space designed for joy, connection, and support.

This annual event honors the life and legacy of Montaze “Taze” Cooper, a youth leader, author, entrepreneur, and advocate who dedicated his life to uplifting others. A proud Baltimore native and first-generation college graduate, Taze worked to expand access to mental health support, mentorship, and career opportunities for young people across the city.

Montaze Cooper Day is part of the Forever 15 Fund, an initiative of Baltimore’s Promise that helps young people stay on track through emergency financial support and access to caring community networks.

Declared by Mayor Brandon Scott, June 20 is Montaze Cooper Day in Baltimore.

Let’s come together to share resources, celebrate youth voices, and—

Make it a great day—on purpose.
— Montaze Cooper
